Heavy rain wreaks havoc, 3 killed as factory wall collapses, panic ensues

Jaipur : Heavy rains in Rajasthan are becoming fatal. A major accident took place in Jodhpur on Monday due to heavy rains. 3 people died due to the collapse of a factory wall in Boranada. At the same time, 9 workers were injured. The accident happened around 3 am. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started the rescue operation. The police admitted the injured to the hospital for treatment. There was a lot of screaming and shouting at the spot due to the sudden accident. Boranada police station SHO Shakeel Ahmed said that due to heavy rain, the wall of New Mahalaxmi Factory collapsed at 3 am late night. The workers’ tin sheds were built behind the factory wall. In such a situation, the back wall fell on the workers’ tin shed, in which about 12 workers were buried.

Rescue operation started half an hour after the accident

As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot at 3.35 pm and started the rescue operation. But, by then three workers had died. At the same time, 9 workers were taken out by cutting the wall. All the injured workers have been admitted to Jodhpur AIIMS.
He said that Nandu (45), Sunita (32) and Manju (35) died due to suffocation in the debris. Pansuram (32), Sanjay (23), Mangibai (50), Pawan (19), Shanti (33), Dinesh (34), Hariram (28), Puri wife of Dinesh and Dinesh son Gangaram were injured. They are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
