Kota : The rainy season is continuing in Kota division. Heavy rain is being seen in most of the areas. Due to which water has filled up in many places in the city. Due to water filling in the colonies of the city, people had to go to the roof. Due to water filling on many main roads, life has become disrupted. Due to water filling near Dara on Kota Jhalawar road, vehicles have to move in a crawling manner. Due to heavy rains, the weather has become cold in all the districts of Kota division and there is sheet flow in the dams. Water is overflowing due to full filling of water in all the anicuts. 66.8 mm of rain was recorded in Kota on Saturday. Due to continuous rain, the rivers and streams are overflowing here.
Heavy rains in Hadoti disrupted communication
Most of the villages in Hadauti region have been cut off due to rain. On Sunday morning, the administration called the people stranded due to rain in Anantpura area and took them to safe places with the help of boats. At the same time, the idol of Ganeshji was half submerged in the famous Khada Ganesh Ji temple of Kota due to more than two feet of water.
People trapped in Karneshwar and Geparnath were rescued safely
A young man was trapped in the strong current near Karneshwar Mahadev temple. On the other hand, there was information of four-five people being trapped in Geparnath as well. A man sitting on a rock was pleading for help. As soon as this information was received in the control room, the young man was rescued with the help of generator belts. At the same time, five people trapped in Geparnath area have been taken out by the rescue team of SDRF and Municipal Corporation. Municipal Corporation diver Vishnu Shrungi says that suddenly the flow of water from the waterfall became very fast, due to which people got trapped in it. Now all the people have been safely taken out.
Water discharge from Kota Barrage
Due to heavy rains, 51 thousand cusecs of water is being drained by opening 6 gates of Kota Barrage by 5 feet each. At the same time, 7861 thousand cusecs of water is coming in from Jawahar Sagar, while the water level of Rana Pratap Sagar and Gandhi Sagar is increasing. Talking about Gandhi Sagar, there is 1294 feet of water here, while Rana Pratap Sagar is filled with 1142.90 cusecs of water.
People trapped in Anantpura, water entered their homes
The most waterlogging has been reported in Anantpura area. People had to spend the night in their houses here. Most of the houses in the area were flooded, due to which people’s belongings got submerged. Due to continuous rain in Kota, Anantpura Crusher Colony has been flooded. Vehicles have stopped due to rainwater logging on Anantpura main road and people are having to cross the water risking their lives.
Water filled in more than a dozen settlements
The effect of rain can be seen everywhere in Kota. Anantpura is in the worst condition, four to five colonies located there are flooded. Many houses are submerged in water up to one floor. Anantpura residents said that about 400 houses are flooded. Along with this, complaints of waterlogging have also been received from Talab Village, Vigyan Nagar and Jawahar Nagar. Household items have been damaged due to waterlogging in many houses of Vigyan Nagar. After the rain, water came out of the Alhaudal Park Balkund drain, due to which the road was flooded. Kota South Mayor Rajiv Agarwal Bharti got the water blockage removed with a JCB at night and made arrangements for drainage.
