Jaipur : Monsoon has become active in Rajasthan as soon as Sawan started. Rain has started in many districts. Heavy rain has been recorded in the districts of eastern Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Center, heavy rainfall has been recorded in Chittorgarh, Tonk and Ajmer districts in the last 24 hours. The highest rainfall in eastern Rajasthan has been recorded in Nimbahera and Niwai at 71 mm, Bilada, Jodhpur in western Rajasthan at 56 mm. Apart from this, 53 mm rain was recorded in Ajmer, 33 mm in Bhilwara, 30 mm in Pilani. 39 mm rain was recorded in Sirohi. Heavy rains occurred in some areas of the capital Jaipur. According to the Meteorological Center – Low pressure area is formed over eastern Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Monsoon trough line is passing through Jaisalmer and Ajmer. According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur and Ajmer divisions on Wednesday and Thursday. At the same time, there will be an increase in rain activities in Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions as well. At the same time, humid and heavy heat conditions are likely to persist at some places in Bharatpur, Jaipur and Bikaner divisions.

The monsoon clouds that had been making people wait since morning in Ajmer, rained heavily on Monday afternoon. Heavy rain accompanied by wind drenched the entire city. Drains overflowed at many places. Roads looked like swimming pools in several areas. Heavy rain fell for about 20 minutes in Vaishali Nagar, Foysagar Road, Kotra, Shastri Nagar, Panchsheel, Kotra and surrounding areas. Heavy rain also fell in Adarshnagar, Nasirabad Road, Daurai, Tabiji, Chandbardayi Nagar, Subhash Nagar, Transport Nagar, Ramganj, Kesarganj, Ajay Nagar and other areas. Light rain continued intermittently in many areas.
A young man died due to lightning strike
40-year-old Bhimaram son of Rasaram died due to lightning in Banwa (Babuguleria) of Ramsar subdivision of Barmer district. Bhimaram had gone to work as a labourer in a neighbour’s field in Babuguleria in the morning to weed the crop. When it started raining in the afternoon, he was going home from the field to have tea, during which lightning struck him and he died on the spot.
