Kota : Torrential rain continues in Hadoti region. It rained throughout Saturday night and Sunday. Due to this, the rivers are in spate and there is a huge inflow of water in the dams. Due to this, water is being drained by opening the gates of the dams. Sometimes it rained heavily and sometimes it rained lightly in Kota. It was cloudy during the day. The wind speed was also relatively fast. The rain brought relief to the people troubled by heat and humidity. 41.9 mm of rain was recorded in the last 24 hours. 9.4 mm of rain was recorded from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. The wind speed was 12 km per hour.
Due to heavy rains in Modak of Kota district, the drains overflowed and Chosla village lost connectivity. From 6 pm on Saturday to 8 am on Sunday, 78 mm or more than 3 inches of rain was recorded in Sangod. Due to inflow of water in Parvati river in Khatauli area, the Kota-Sheopur road got blocked. This cut off Rajasthan’s connection with Madhya Pradesh. The administration has issued a high alert due to inflow of water in the dams. Due to rain in Etawah area, inflow of water in Chambal river near Balaji of Jharer, traffic on Khatauli-Sawaimadhopur road is closed.
Jait Sagar drain overflows
Due to continuous rain in Bundi district since Saturday night, the drain of Jaitsagar was again in spate on Sunday. Here, due to the overflowing of the drain on Line Police Road, half a feet of water accumulated on the roads. Water accumulated in the colonies of Devpura area. It rained intermittently from Sunday morning to evening. Due to continuous rain in Hindoli, water is being drained into the Mej river by opening five gates of Gudha dam by four feet each. Due to this, the water level of Mej river has increased. By 5 pm on Sunday, 13 mm of rain was recorded in Bundi, 6 in Taleda, 7 in K.Patan, 4 in Indragarh, 12 in Nainwan, 28 in Hindoli, 14 mm in Raithal.

Dugari dam’s sheet water spread, village divided into three parts

Due to rain in Manoharthana, for the first time the Parwan river overflowed and Shrithaneshwar Mahadev got submerged. 14 mm rain was recorded in Jhalawar, 16 mm in Jhalarapatan, 10 mm in Raipur, 12 mm in Aklera, 3 mm in Asnawar, 20 mm in Bakani, 17 mm in Dag, 10 mm in Gangdhar, 58 mm in Khanpur, 38 mm in Manoharthana, 32 mm in Pachpahar, 5 mm in Pidawa and 25 mm in Sunel.
Jalwara town became an island
