New Delhi, November 26 (IANS). After winning the Jharkhand elections with majority, Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren met Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and his wife Sunita Kejriwal in Delhi on Tuesday.
Hemant Soren was warmly welcomed by Arvind Kejriwal and his wife. While sharing the photo of Hemant Soren and Kejriwal on social media, Aam Aadmi Party has also written ‘Two Fighters’ as caption. Even before this, when Arvind Kejriwal was in jail, Hemant Soren had reached Arvind Kejriwal’s residence with his wife.
Before this, Hemant Soren also met Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, newly elected Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge. The swearing-in ceremony of Hemant Soren as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand will be held on November 28 at Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi. The ceremony will be held at 4 pm. Along with the Chief Minister, some other ministers can also take oath.
Hemant Soren was formally elected as their leader by the India Block MLAs on Sunday. JMM has said that RJD supremo Lalu Yadav, Bihar’s Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Aam Aadmi Party national president Arvind Kejriwal, CPIML national general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, including Tamil Nadu, are expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony. Invitations have also been sent to the Chief Ministers of Delhi, Punjab, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir.
The results of the elections for the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly were declared on November 23. In this, the JMM, Congress and RJD alliance led by Hemant Soren has secured 56 seats. JMM has won 34 seats, Congress 16, RJD four and CPI ML two seats. For the first time in the state, a government is going to be formed with two-thirds majority.
