Mumbai, 12 December (IANS). After the draft of the bill related to ‘One Nation One Election’ has been approved by the Cabinet, it will soon be presented in the Parliament. Talking about this, BJP leader and MLC Shrikant Bhartiya said that if this happens, a history will be made in India.
Srikant Bharatiya told IANS, “The biggest thing in the democratic history of the country is that in the context of development, some major election is held in our country every six months. Our country is so vast and diverse that from local elections to assembly elections and Lok Sabha elections, something or the other is going on all the time, somewhere or the other the code of conduct remains in force and due to this, there are hindrances in development. If ‘One Nation One Election’ happens then I believe that the pace of development in the country will accelerate.
”If it is implemented, it will become history, just like Ram Mandir, abrogation of Article 370, Citizenship Amendment Act and Uniform Civil Code made history. This is extremely important for the country and especially for the 125 crore people of India. “One Nation, One Election” is not a political issue, it is a common man’s issue. I have full confidence that the day it is passed, it will become a historic moment in Indian politics.
Regarding Sanjay Raut, Shrikant Bhartiya said, “When Sanjay Raut comes in his dreams, he speaks. He is a good leader. He should not talk such small things. A man like Sanjay Raut does not know the history of the country. He has insulted India and most importantly, he has insulted the people who gave freedom to India.
On the Parbhani incident in Maharashtra, he said, “I believe that there should be no politics on this type of incident.” If you are a serious leader then it is wrong to make such statements and you all know that the Constitution is a proof for all of us and a matter of reverence for us. If it is insulted anywhere, it cannot be tolerated.
On the question of Rahul Gandhi’s bank, he said, “When Indira Gandhi nationalized the banks, a hope was raised that the common man would join banking in India. But the people who later took over the leadership of Congress did not understand it at all. Modi ji provided benefits to the general public through banks. What Nirmala Sitharaman has said is 100 percent correct. He used the banks for his purposes. Modi ji used banks to provide facilities to the common man.”
While speaking on ‘India’ block, he took a dig at those supporting Mamata and said, “There is a need to find out the old history of those who are giving statements.” There was a time when Pawar Saheb felt that he was going to become the leader of the alliance. There was a time when Lalu Prasad felt that he was going to become a leader. Now Mamta ji has started dreaming.
