Jaipur : Home voting will start from Monday in the by-election for 7 assembly seats in Rajasthan. Giving this information, the concerned officials said that ‘home voting’ will be held in two phases between November 4 and November 10. All voters listed for voting from home will have to give advance information through Booth Level Officer (BLO) and polling teams will visit their homes between November 4 to 8 to conduct the voting.
If anyone is left out, voting will be held again on 9-10
He said that during this process, representatives of political parties and candidates participating in the elections will also be present along with the polling team. According to him, if for some reason the eligible voter is not found at home on time, then in another effort the polling teams will again go to home for ‘home voting’ on November 9-10.
More than 3 thousand voters included
According to officials, during the by-election, a total of 3,193 voters, including 2,365 elderly and 828 disabled people, from 7 assembly constituencies will vote from home through postal ballot. As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, senior citizens above 85 years of age and voters with more than 40 percent disability are given the facility of ‘home voting’ with their consent.
Voting will take place on 13 November
General voting for the by-elections in Ramgarh, Dausa, Deoli-Uniara, Jhunjhunu, Khinvsar, Salumber and Chaurasi assembly seats of the state will be held on November 13 and the counting of votes will take place on November 23. A total of 69 candidates, including ten women, are in the fray in these seven assembly constituencies.
