Jaipur : Police has arrested a woman and her partner who stole lakhs of rupees by trapping a care taker who kept contractors’ money in a love trap in Vidyadhar Nagar. Rs 35.25 lakh has been recovered from the accused. Three history sheeter friends of the accused fled after dividing the remaining amount, police teams are searching for them.

Additional Police Commissioner Kailash Bishnoi said that Prabhati Devi alias Deepti alias Sonu, originally a resident of Churu, presently Jagatpura, and Imran Khan, originally a resident of Jasrasar, presently Jagatpura, Ratangarh, have been arrested. Vijay, a caretaker (munim) living in a flat in Bhati Complex in Vidyadhar Nagar, had filed a report on June 21 regarding the theft. Accused Prabhati Devi trapped the caretaker in a love trap and then made him drink buttermilk mixed with sleeping pills. After he fell into deep sleep, the accused, along with his accomplices, stole the safe kept in the flat. Additional DCP Bajrang Singh Shekhawat said that accused Abhishek, Sahil Ghazi, Sabir and Amit Kaswan alias Mitla are being searched in this case. Among these, three accused are history-sheeters of Fatehpur, Churu and Ratangarh, who fled after dividing the remaining lakhs of rupees of the theft.
He used to show notes to his friends through video call
Police said that Vijay used to stay alone in the flat. He would take out bundles of notes from the safe and spread them and lie on them. He would show all this to about 15 companions through separate video calls. One of the companions informed the gang about this. Then Imran made Prabhati call Vijay and trapped him in a love trap. Prabhati also went to Vijay’s flat many times to meet him. After gathering information that the key to the safe is kept with Vijay in the flat, the crime was committed.
