Jodhpur : A brother stabbed his sister to death in a house in Chaupasni Housing Board Sector-21 on Sunday late evening. The accused himself went to Chaupasni Housing Board police station and informed about killing his sister. Police and FSL have collected evidence by inspecting the spot. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Nishant Bhardwaj said that Guddi alias Chandra (47) daughter of Mohanlal Sindhi, resident of Chauhabo Sector-21, has been stabbed to death. The body has been kept in the mortuary of Mathuradas Mathur Hospital. The accused brother Purushottam Sindhi (48), resident of Chauhabo Sector-9, has been taken into custody. A case of murder has been registered and investigation has been started. On learning about the incident, the police inspected the spot. Information about the incident was also taken from the people nearby. The accused Purushottam runs a fruit and vegetable shop near Bombay Motors Bus Stand.

Accused Purushottam Sindhi lives separately with his family. He reached his ancestral house in Chauhabo Sector-21 at 7:15 pm. He found his mother and sister Guddi on the first floor. There was a quarrel between brother and sister over the share in the ancestral house. During this, Purushottam took a knife from the spot and stabbed his sister Guddi repeatedly in the neck and other parts of the body. This caused fountains of blood to gush out and she was covered in blood. Thinking her to be dead, the accused left from there and reached Chauhabo police station, where he informed about killing his sister. The police was shocked to hear this. The accused was caught. Then taking him along, SHO Nitin Dave and SI Fgaluram reached the spot. Mother and other family members took her to MDM hospital in a bloody condition, but the doctor declared her dead.
Married twice, divorced from both
Police say that the deceased Guddi had married twice, but she was divorced from both. She used to live in her mother’s house. She has two brothers. Accused Purushottam lives with his family in Chauhabo Sector-9. Another brother lives with his wife on the ground floor of his mother’s house. At present, the police have found three reasons for the murder. The sister used to live in the mother’s house. Accused Purushottam alleges that he was thrown out of the house. He also suspected his sister.
Sister was becoming an obstacle in returning thirty lakh rupees
Police say that the accused had lent Rs. 30 lakh to someone. He was asking for the money back from him, but the deceased refused to return the money to that person. There was a dispute between the brother and sister regarding this as well. During the murder with a knife, the accused also got drenched in blood. He also got injured in his hand. Police got him first aid at MDM Hospital.
