Sikar : Two cars carrying devotees who had set out to visit Salasar Balaji, Jeenmata and Khatushyamji religious places collided head-on on Thursday morning. The grandmother and granddaughter died during treatment in the accident. A total of 20 people, including nine children, were seriously injured in the road accident. Both vehicles were moving at high speed. After a lot of effort, local residents, passersby and police took the injured out of the vehicles and took them to Sikar’s Sri Kalyan Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. After the accident, there was a long jam on Salasar Road. It is worth noting that accidents are increasing continuously on this road. Seriously injured Ramesh and Rekha have been referred to Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Hospital.
According to the police, the incident took place at 6 am on Thursday at a turn near the Toonwa bus stand in the Nechwa police station area. Head constable Sitaram said that both the vehicles collided head-on. There were 16 people in the Bolero, including children, who were going from Sujangarh to visit Mataji at the Jhinmata temple. There were six people in the Brija car who were going to visit Salasar Balaji. The family in the Brija car was from Delhi. The grandmother and granddaughter who were travelling in this car died in the accident.
Two seriously injured were referred to Jaipur
According to the police, Ramesh Kumar (64 years) son of Amichand, resident of Geeta Colony, Delhi, Suman Devi (55 years) wife of Ramesh Khatik, Meenu (26 years) wife of Mukesh Kumar, Hdayansh (1.5 years) son of Mukesh, driver Pankaj (25 years) son of Ramesh Kumar and Pyarelal (58 years) son of Chandram Khatik resident of Mayur Vihar, Delhi were travelling in the Brija. All of them were going to visit Salasar Balaji after visiting Khatushyamji in Delhi. On the way, the car collided with a Bolero coming from the opposite direction at Kumas Jagir bus stand in Nechwa area of Sikar. Suman Devi and her granddaughter Hdayansh died on the spot. Four people travelling in the car were injured. All the people travelling in the Bolero are residents of Sujangarh area of Churu. The car was carrying Prakash (25 years), son of Bhanwararam Jat, resident of Chadwas Sujangarh Churu, Hemlata, daughter of Bhagirath, Anant, son of Bhagirath, Bhageshwari (8 years), daughter of Lalchand, Garima (2) daughter of Tarachand, Sipu, daughter of Bhagirath, Karishma (5 years), daughter of Lalchand, Rukmini Devi (30 years), wife of Lalchand, resident of Ratangarh Churu, Nirmala Devi (22 years), wife of Tarachand, resident of Khotari Ratangarh, Suman (41 years), wife of Bhagirath, Udi Devi (70 years), wife of Ramuram Jat, Manju (10 years), daughter of Bhagirath, Bhagirath (50 years), son of Kanaram, Rekha (12 years), daughter of Bhagirath, resident of Dungras Bidasar, Sona Devi (55 years), wife of Ramuram, resident of Ratangarh, etc. All the people were taken out of both the cars through ambulances and private vehicles and taken to SK Hospital. Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Delhi and Rekha, a passenger in the Bolero car, are in critical condition and have been referred to Jaipur. The other injured are being treated at Shri Kalyan Hospital.
