Jodhpur News Desk: The stories of husband, wife and woman are often seen in films, but a similar case has also come to light in Surpura Khurd village of Bhopalgarh area. Where a man had two wives and due to daily disputes between them, the first wife strangled the second wife to death during a dispute while working in the fields. Due to this not being known for two days, the body of the deceased woman started rotting. Meanwhile, when information about the incident came to light late in the night, Bhopalgarh police of Jodhpur arrested the accused woman. The dead body was handed over to the family after post-mortem and the police have registered a case and started investigation.
There used to be disputes between the two wives.
CI Gangaram Bana said that Ram Vilas, a resident of Surpura Khurd village of Bhopalgarh area, had married twice and both his wives Ramli (28) and Baby (35) lived with him, but these two wives had little to do with each other. There was often a dispute between the two regarding some issue or the other. About two days ago, both the wives of Ram Vilas had gone to work in the fields. During this time, there was a dispute between them over some issue and the first wife Baby strangled the second wife Ramli to death there and later came home. Moreover, she did not even tell anyone at home about this and her husband and other family members kept searching for her for two days.
Eventually, when information was received that Ramli’s body was lying in the field, the police was informed. After this, the police team led by Bhopalgarh police station in-charge CI Gangaram Bana reached the spot and the body was brought to the mortuary of the Government Upazila Hospital of Bhopalgarh. Where the body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem by the Medical Board on Thursday. During this time, many people of the village including Surpura Khurd Sarpanch Bhagwan Singh also reached the hospital. Whereas, due to the dead body being two days old and lying in the field during this extreme heat and humidity, a foul smell started emanating from it. On the other hand, the police have arrested the accused woman Baby and have registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
