Sriganganagar News Desk: There was a massive head-on collision between Sriganganagar-Tilak Bridge Express and a tractor-trolley in the outer area of the railway station of the town on Friday night. In this incident, the train engine and several coaches were damaged and the tractor was also broken into two pieces. The incident occurred at around 8.45 pm near Gram Panchayat Takhtahjara, near Sadulshahr. The fortunate thing is that there was no loss of life in this incident. After the incident the tractor driver fled from the spot. On information, GRP and RPF from Sriganganagar also reached the spot. This collision caused a lot of trouble to the passengers. After the arrival of the new engine, the train was dispatched with a delay of about three hours.

According to the information, when Sriganganagar-Tilak Bridge Express, the tractor driver was trying to drive the tractor over the pillar placed under the SDS distributary and railway line near village Takhtahjara of Sadulshahar border. Meanwhile, a train was seen coming from the front, seeing which he got scared and ran away leaving the tractor on the spot and the tractor had a massive collision with the engine of the train coming from the front. The engine of the train got damaged in the accident and A technical glitch occurred. Also, due to the high speed of the train, the footrests of many coaches were also damaged. As soon as the accident occurred, Sadulshahr police station reached the spot and collected information about the incident. On receiving the information, the Station Superintendent of Sadulshahr Railway Station also reached the spot and the train was slowly brought to Sadulshahr Railway Station. New engine ordered from Sriganganagar
The train pilot declared that further journey was not possible with the damaged train engine, on which a new engine was ordered from Sriganganagar. After the incident, the train stood at the accident site for 20 minutes, then after that the train stood at Sadulshahr railway station for about two and a half hours. Police said that efforts are being made to identify the tractor driver on the basis of the tractor number.
