Hundreds of animals are dying of unknown disease in Jaisalmer, investigation continues

Jaisalmer News Desk: These days, the series of deaths due to unknown disease in goats is going on in Khuhadi area of ​​Jaisalmer. Animal husbandry of the area came to Jaisalmer Animal Husbandry Department with a dead animal on Monday. Doctors will now try to find out the unknown disease by doing postmortem of the dead animal. The cattle herders have given a memorandum to the collector demanding compensation. Veterinarian Dr. Vasudev Garg said- Death of animals is going on due to unknown disease. Our team went to the spot but the disease has not been caught. On Monday, cattle herders brought a dead goat. Postmortem of the dead animal will be done, after which information about the disease will be known. Dr. Garg said that we will also call a medical team from the state so that the disease can be caught and the animals can get timely treatment.

Hundreds of animals have died

Animal farmer Amar Singh Sodha told that these days goats and sheep are dying due to unknown disease in Khuhadi area. The Animal Husbandry Department does not have a cure for this. All the cattle farmers are worried and are seeing their animals dying. Whereas the Animal Husbandry Department is not taking any action yet. Hundreds of animals are dying in the area. On Monday, we also brought a dead goat with us, so that postmortem could be done to find out the disease. Along with this, the cattle herders have given a memorandum to the collector demanding compensation.

Deaths are occurring due to unknown disease

Amar Singh Sodha, cattle rearer of Khuhdi area, said – Goats are dying due to unknown disease in Khuhdi area and Maneri village. Sheep are also included in these, but maximum deaths are occurring among goats. The goats of area cattle herders Amar Singh Sodha, Bhagwana Ram, Ratan, Revanta Ram, Navala Ram, Lakh Singh etc. have died due to unknown disease. This trend is continuing and the cattle farmers are not even aware of what the disease is. In such a situation, all the poor cattle farmers are in bad condition. Animals are suddenly falling and dying while walking.
