Hundreds of tonnes of garbage reaching the dumping yard at Dholpur Sagarpada every day.

Dholpur News Desk: As the city is expanding, the facilities are not materializing in that regard. There are 60 wards in the Municipal Council area and out of these, about 45 to 50 tonnes of garbage is collected every day and transported to the dumping yard. Garbage is continuously arriving but it is not being disposed of. The situation is such that in the dumping yard, mountains of garbage have grown up to two to three floors. On the other hand, the solid waste management plant of the Municipal Council has been closed for a long time.

Due to which the process of separating waste is not happening. Now the pile of garbage is creating trouble for the local people. People allege that there is a problem due to foul smell here. The problem increases due to occasional fire. At present, the Municipal Council administration says that efforts are being made for garbage disposal, the tender process for this will be started soon.

Lifting of 50 tons per day

About 45 to 50 tonnes of garbage is reaching the dumping yard every day from the Municipal Council area. The situation is that earlier there was a pile of garbage at the front of the dumping yard, but now the garbage has reached the ravine behind. Now mountains of garbage are visible from a distance. Let us tell you that garbage is dumped here from about 79 garbage points in the city through tractor-trolley and auto tipper.

Dirty water going into Chambal river

On the other hand, dirty water from one to two drains towards Sagarpada in the city is going towards Chambal through the ravines here. This dirty water entering Chambal poses a threat to aquatic life. Let us tell you that Chambal is also the home of crocodile, crocodile, turtle and dolphin.
