Bharatpur : Lalita, a resident of Matauli village in Gulbarga district of Karnataka, who suddenly disappeared from her home 18 years ago, has now returned. After her disappearance, her husband Shivlingappa got married again to raise three children. Shivlingappa also had no hope of finding his first wife now. Recently, Shivlingappa got the news that his missing wife Lalita is living in Apna Ghar Ashram in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. He reached there with his daughter and brought Lalita back to Karnataka. His daughter, who had not even seen her mother’s face, cried with joy after seeing her mother.
Made his wife wear a mangalsutra
Shivlingappa brought all the makeup items to welcome his wife Lalitha. He put vermilion on Lalitha’s head and put on a mangalsutra, bracelets, earrings and clothes. He told that after Lalitha left home, he married Mahananda, who raised his three children.
Wife was living in Bharatpur Ashram
Lalita was rescued by a charitable trust in Surat in 2013 and due to lack of a place to stay, she was kept in Apna Ghar Ashram, Bharatpur. When her health improved there, she gave her address and the police informed her family.

Shivlingappa told that when Lalita left home, he had two sons and a younger daughter. His second wife Mahananda raised these three and educated them. His son Vinayak is a clerk in Bangalore University and his younger son has a job in Bhopal. His daughter is also married. Shivlingappa said, “I married the second time thinking that my first wife was dead, but when I came to know that she was alive, my happiness knew no bounds.”
