Jaipur : The main opposition party Congress on Tuesday brought a no-confidence motion against the country’s Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar in the Rajya Sabha. The next day, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge targeted Dhankhar and called him the biggest spokesperson of the government. On which a round of rhetoric started between the ruling party and the opposition. On Thursday, Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also gave his reaction on this.
‘Only family worship was learned in Congress’
Talking to the media after the ‘Run for Developed Rajasthan’ program in Jaipur, Minister Rathore said, ‘I am not surprised that Congress is not respecting the dignity of high office. He doesn’t care about anyone above his family. Congress has never cared for the country. Always worked to divide the countrymen for votes. Have made strange agreements with other nations. He never respected the Constitution, so how will he respect an institution? Nehru, Indira, Rajiv Gandhi changed the Constitution many times. This is the same family which had also imposed emergency. Hearing the words that Mallikarjun Kharge is using today, there is no possibility that only family worship is taught in this party.
What statement did Mallikarjun Kharge give?
Kharge said in a joint press conference of the opposition in Delhi that the biggest reason for the disruption in the Rajya Sabha is the Chairman himself. As the Chairman of Rajya Sabha, he does ‘schooling like a headmaster’. Whenever important issues are raised by the opposition as per rules, the Chairman does not allow the discussion to take place in a planned manner. Time and again opposition leaders are prevented from speaking. His loyalty is to the ruling party rather than the Constitution and he is working as a government spokesperson for his next promotion in keeping with constitutional tradition. I have no hesitation in saying that the biggest obstacle in the Rajya Sabha is Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar himself.
