Barmer : The new IAS Tina Dabi of Barmer district of Rajasthan is now busy changing the character and appearance of Barmer after Jaisalmer. IAS Dabi has always been in the news for her innovations. A few days ago, she has got a new responsibility as Barmer Collector. Earlier, she has been the collector of Jaisalmer. During this time, she had done many such works in the Golden City, for which she is still praised among the top officials. In such a situation, after becoming the Barmer Collector, the people here have also placed many expectations from her. As soon as she took charge as Barmer DM, Tina Dabi has also started appearing in her old attitude.
Barmer’s image will blossom with “Navvo Barmer”
As soon as she reached Barmer on 6th September, IAS Tina Dabi had thought of the vision of its development. The name of the new initiative is “Navo Barmer”. Due to this, she has added a new innovation from Saturday to make the city clean and beautiful. In which the face of the district will be seen changing in the coming 2 months. To implement this initiative, DM Tina Dabi herself has prepared its road map. The work of realizing it on the ground will be started from Saturday.
The city will be cleaned with the “Navo Barmer” app
Under the Navo Barmer app, this app will be launched in a program organized in Barmer Municipal Council on Saturday. Through this, smart cards will be installed in every house. Garbage will be collected from every house through these cards. Along with this, it will also be monitored. With this initiative, smart sweeping will also be done in the city in which cleaning will be done twice in the morning and evening. Complaints against those who are negligent in this can also be made on this Navo Barmer app. Through this, the officials of the Municipal Council and the District Administration will remain connected all the time. Who will resolve the complaints coming through this app. Under this initiative, twice a month, the district officials will donate their labor in cleaning the city with public participation.
A separate street will be built for street food carts
Along with this, an initiative is being taken to improve the deteriorating traffic system due to haphazardly parked fast food carts in various parts of Barmer city. Through this, a new lane will be built for street vendors on the road behind Mahavir Park. All the street vendors will be shifted to it. Also, in view of the traffic jam situation in the city, a proposal will be sent to the District Traffic Committee to identify the most crowded intersections and implement the traffic signal system there. Apart from this, to get rid of the problem of stray animals in the city, they will be kept in Nandi Goshala.
The problem of water logging will be solved
In view of the waterlogging situation in the rainy season in many colonies including Baldev Nagar Vishnu Colony, the outer area of Barmer, a new action plan will be made soon and sewerage lines and drains will be constructed in these areas. To get this work completed on the ground soon, the Barmer Subdivision Officer has been made in-charge and the officials of Nagar Parishad and UIT have been made co-in-charge. To provide relief to the people of these areas, a task force has been formed to prepare a blueprint of this work in a month and to ensure permanent drainage. Through this force, appropriate measures will be taken to prevent seasonal diseases caused by waterlogging.
“Navvo Barmer” will transform the city
Collector Tina Dabi said that for the beautification of Barmer city, green dumping yards will be made by painting and planting 5 thousand plants. Also, the vacant places of over bridges in the city will be converted into parking by painting them. Apart from this, major public places of the city like crossroads, shelters, hospitals, bus stands, community buildings will be adopted for maintenance and beautification by motivating the philanthropists of the city. They will be honored every month through the leader board. For their effective monitoring, the officials of Nagar Parishad and Nagar Vikas Nyas have been made in-charge so that the beautification and maintenance of these places can be ensured from time to time.
Key administrative officers made in-charge
Collector Tina Dabi has added 21 key administrative officers of the district to make this initiative effective. They have been instructed to resolve complaints related to cleanliness on Navo Barmer mobile app and ensure cleanliness in the city.
These include Barmer ADM, UIT Secretary, SDM, Tehsildar, Women and Child Development, Social Justice and Empowerment, Women Empowerment Department, Statistics and Economic Department, Assistant Directors of Information Technology, District Incharge of NREGA Scheme, District Logistics Officer, Barmer Rural Tehsildar, BDOs of Barmer and Barmer Rural Panchayat Samitis, Establishment Officer of District Collector Office, Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department and Agriculture Extension Department, District Planning Officer, Managing Director BCCB Bank, General Manager District Industries Center, Additional District Education Officer have been appointed as nodal officers. Also, to ensure cleanliness, 55 wards of the city have been divided into 21 circles, RI JEN of Nagar Parishad, Assistant Administrative Officer ATP Clerk, Senior Clerks have also been included.
