Barmer : A woman Sarpanch (village head) of Barmer, Rajasthan is in news these days on social media. A video of this woman Sarpanch giving a speech in English is going viral, which people are praising a lot. Actually, while attending a program of IAS officer Tina Dabi, this woman Sarpanch gave a speech in English.

In the viral video, a woman sarpanch named Sonu Kanwar is seen standing in front of a mike wearing a traditional Rajasthani dress and a veil. She is saying, “I am very happy to be a part of this day. First of all, I welcome our collector Tina Madam. Being a woman, I feel honored to welcome Tina Madam.”

After this she talks about water conservation in her speech. Collector Tina Dabi listens to her speech carefully and smiles. Let us tell you that Tina Dabi topped the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) 2015 examination. Currently she is appointed as the District Collector of Barmer.
