Crooks create groups on social media and through groups, thugs make their advertisements viral on all social media platforms. The mobile numbers mentioned in that advertisement are taken from fake documents. When any person calls, the caller commits fraud in the name of providing various types of services. Due to fear of defamation, many cases are not even reaching the police.

Thugs also commit fraud through messages. The fraudster sends messages from unknown numbers to the mobile phone holders’ numbers. These messages are about closure of bank account, downloading games in mobile, getting free recharge, providing loans without documents etc. If the mobile user opens the message and clicks on that link, then the mischief of the fraudsters starts and within no time the bank account becomes empty.

After the opening of cyber police station in the district, cases of cyber crime are also coming to light rapidly. More than 40 cases have been registered in the police station in the last two years. In this, many cases have also been resolved by the police. Despite this, new fraud cases are continuously coming to light. The police cyber team has also blocked many suspicious numbers. At the same time, many accused have also been arrested.
