If RJD government is formed in Bihar, elderly people will get pension amount of Rs 1,500: Tejashwi Yadav

Begusarai, 6 December (IANS). RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav made a big announcement during the worker dialogue program in Begusarai district of Bihar on Friday. He said that if his government is formed in the Bihar Assembly elections next year, the elderly will be given a pension of Rs 1,500 per month.

Tejashwi Yadav said, “After the formation of our government, elderly people above 60 years of age will be given Rs 1,500 every month under the Old Age Pension Scheme. Under the Social Security Pension Scheme, a pension of Rs 1,500 will be given every month.”

Talking to the media, he said that we all are aware of the problems faced by the villagers. We have decided that when our government is formed, the amount of social security pension will be increased from Rs 400 to Rs 1,500. This initiative is aimed at improving the economic condition of the elderly and weaker sections of the society. Through this scheme, these sections will get help in living and their social security will be ensured.

At the same time, while talking to media persons after the workers’ dialogue conference organized in Munger, Tejashwi had taken a dig at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Mahila Samvad Yatra starting from December 15. He said that a lot of public money is being spent for this. A budgetary allocation of Rs 250 crore has been made for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Mahila Samvad Yatra. This is against the interests of the people of the state.

These days, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav is continuously raising questions on Nitish government regarding the problems of students. The RJD leader had also raised questions regarding the cancellation of the Community Health Officer (CHO) examination conducted by the Bihar State Health Committee. At the same time, a letter has been written to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding the difficulty in filling the examination forms of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).
