Barmer News Desk: Dengue and malaria are wreaking havoc in many parts of the state including Barmer. A police constable suffering from dengue has died in the district. The constable (32), resident of Baleva, was posted at Bishala outpost of rural police station area of Mohanlal district. Constable Mohanlal died while being taken to Jodhpur for treatment. After this, the body was kept in the mortuary of Barmer Government Hospital, from where the post-mortem of the body will be done and handed over to the family members. After receiving information about the death of a police constable late on Sunday night, concerns have increased regarding dengue spreading in the area.
Suffered from dengue while on duty
The deceased was selected in the 2015 constable batch. According to the family members of the deceased, Mohanlal was posted in Bishala rural police station area. He got treated at Bishala CHC after he developed sudden fever while on duty 3 days ago, but his health continued to deteriorate. After this, on Sunday, the family and staff took Mohan to the private Thar Hospital in Barmer city. From here the doctors referred him to Jodhpur. The constable died on the way before reaching Jodhpur.
Last rites will be held in ancestral village Baleba
Deceased constable Mohanlal was infected with dengue while on duty. In such a situation, the deceased will be cremated with state honors in his native village Baleba. Police personnel and officers were present in front of the mortuary of Barmer Government Hospital. After post-mortem, the body will be taken to the village of the deceased through an army truck.
