Tonk : Bharatiya Janata Party has won the by-election in Devli-Uniara assembly seat of Tonk district of Rajasthan. The people here have elected Rajendra Gurjar as their MLA by giving 41 thousand 121 more votes. To express gratitude to the public for this victory, Rajendra Gurjar along with Kekri MLA Shatrughan Gautam reached among the people on Thursday, where he was given a warm welcome. On this occasion, he had a special conversation with NDTV Rajasthan, in which he also responded to the allegations of Sachin Pilot.
MLA Shatrughan Gautam’s answer
The BJP MLA said, ‘Sachin Pilot and Congress should ponder over their defeat. BJP has not misused the government machinery. This work was done in the Congress government. If BJP had done this, our Dausa candidate Jagmohan Meena would not have lost the assembly by-election by 2 thousand votes. Before the change of power, Congress had created 19 new districts, out of which Congress party candidates lost the MLA elections in 17 districts. It would be better if Congress brainstorms on this instead of making allegations.
What did Sachin Pilot say?
Sachin Pilot had said in Jaipur on Wednesday evening that, ‘The results of the by-elections have not been in our favor. This is the right thing and we have to introspect on it. We will have to see where the gap remains. Government machinery has been misused in the by-elections. This is the reason why BJP was successful in winning five seats. But the entire country was keeping an eye on the Dausa elections and the people there once again proved that Dausa Assembly is the strongest stronghold of Congress. Congress had given ticket to a common worker here and after the unity, hard work of all the Congress leaders and workers and the blessings of the public, Congress has succeeded in winning the Dausa seat.
‘Public has influence in Deoli’
Whereas Rajendra Gurjar told NDTV Rajasthan that his victory in the by-election was the victory of the people. The BJP MLA said, ‘Now it is my turn to serve the public. No leader has any influence in my area. Here there is public influence. The public itself is Janardan.
