Jaipur : The campaign to free the roads from temporary and permanent encroachments to provide smooth path to the people started on Monday. On the first day, encroachment was removed from Gopalpura bypass. 150 temporary and permanent encroachments were removed in the action that lasted for six hours. There were so many encroachments in the road limits that the squad of Jaipur Development Authority, Corporation and Traffic Police could not complete the first day’s campaign. Action could be taken only from Tonk Road to Triveni Nagar culvert. Action will be taken from Triveni Nagar culvert to Gurjar Ki Thadi on Tuesday. It is worth noting that Urban Development Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra had a meeting in JDA on July 9. In the meeting, instructions were given to free the roads from encroachment.
Mahendra Sharma, chief controller of JDA’s enforcement branch, said that action will first be taken on the remaining part of Gopalpura bypass and after that, action will be started from Mansarovar metro station.
remove this
This action was taken in an area of about three kilometers on both sides of the road. During this, apart from the platforms, stairs, ramps, boundary walls built in front of shops and houses, the carts, handcarts, hoarding sign boards installed on the road boundary were also removed.
The yellow paw will work here today too
Yellow Paw will run for about 4km from Mansarovar Metro Station to Ajmer Road via Shyam Nagar Police Station.
The bulldozer will run here for 15 consecutive days
According to the information, JDA will take action against encroachment from Jaipur Hospital to Durgapura culvert on July 18, from Vaishali Nagar National Handloom Nursery Circle Gupta Store on July 19, from Malviya Nagar flyover to Pradhan Marg on July 20, from Government Hostel Square to 200 feet bypass on July 22, from Ramniwas Bagh to Ghat Gate Agra Road Ghat Ki Guni Idgah to Transport Nagar on July 23.
On the other hand, on July 24, encroachments will be removed from Sanganer Circle to Chordia Petrol Pump Sawai Madhopur broken culvert, on July 25 from Jharkhand Mahadev Tirahe to Tiraha Lata Circle, on July 29 from SMS Hospital to Narayan Singh Circle, Trimurti Circle to JK Lawn to Bangad and on July 30 from Gopalpura Bypass to Rambagh.
Government should also monitor
In compliance with the instructions of Development Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra, JDA started the action by making a plan till July 30, but what is the guarantee that the illegal constructions that have been demolished will not be built again. It is possible that the road may appear in its original form for a month or twenty days, but encroachments will happen again. In such a situation, there is a dire need for monitoring. Responsibility should be fixed by forming a team from the police to the corporation and JDA. If encroachment happens again after that, strict action should be taken.
