Jammu, December 9 (IANS). Former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Kavinder Gupta, while speaking to IANS on Monday, expressed a strong reaction to PDP leader Iltija Mufti’s controversial statement on Hindutva. He said that FIR should be registered against people making such statements. He alleged that people like Iltija Mufti are deliberately using such language to create tension in the country.
Kavinder Gupta said, “What right do they have to speak such language? They are working at the behest of some powers to create chaos in the country. This is being done in a completely planned manner, in which ‘India’ block and some external forces may be involved. We will not tolerate this type of situation at all. Action should be taken against these people.”
Objecting to Iltija Mufti’s statement on Hindutva, he said that Lord Ram does not just belong to Hindu religion, he belongs to the entire society. Use of such words is derogatory towards Hindu religion and society and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. Iltija Mufti should apologize to this country.
Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, had recently said that Hindutva is a “disease”. He had said, “Hindutva has sickened millions of Indians. It is also tarnishing the name of God. The slogan of Jai Shri Ram is no longer about Ram Rajya. It is used during lynching. “
Political turmoil is being seen everywhere on this statement of Iltija. Reactions to his statement are coming not only from Jammu and Kashmir but from all over the country.
