Jaipur : The minimum temperature of Lake City, which was gradually decreasing since last few days, recorded a sudden drop on Monday. The night temperature in Udaipur was recorded at 5.2 degrees, which is 4.5 degrees below the average. This is the lowest temperature till date, whereas after 2022 the temperature in December has gone so low this time. The mercury was not below 5 degrees in December 2022 and 7.9 degrees in December 2023. Due to cold winds, the cold suddenly increased in Udaipur on Monday. A simultaneous drop of 4.2 degrees in temperature has been observed for the first time this season. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 22.4 degrees and the minimum was 5.2 degrees. A day before this, on Sunday, the maximum was 26.4 degrees and the minimum was 9.4 degrees. Hence, a simultaneous fall of 4.2 degrees was recorded. Due to the sudden increase in cold, there was silence in the public places of the city in the morning and evening.

The Meteorological Department estimates that the minimum temperature in Udaipur may remain between 4 to 5 degrees Celsius till December 15. This means that the effect of cold wave will remain during this period. It is estimated that the effect of cold will be more on 11-12 December, hence these 2 days can be the coldest of December.
