Important decision of the court in Hanumangarh minor rape case

Hanumangarh : Hanumangarh’s POCSO court on Saturday, while giving an important verdict in the case of rape of a minor, has sentenced the guilty husband and wife to life imprisonment. A fine of Rs 65-65 thousand has also been imposed on both of them. Orders have been given to undergo additional imprisonment for non-payment of fine. Advocate Rajendra Pareek appeared on behalf of the complainant. In the case, the Honorable Court sentenced on the basis of 9 witnesses and 17 documents. According to the case, on March 12, 2020, the family members of the 12-year-old victim had registered a case at Pilibanga police station that they were coming from Sriganganagar on February 13, 2020. Then the accused woman coaxed his daughter and took her to someone’s field.

The accused woman used to come and go to his house. The accused woman and her husband kept the daughter hostage. During this time the woman’s husband raped the daughter. On March 7, 2020, the victim somehow escaped from the clutches of both of them and came home. After reaching home the girl narrated the entire incident. After which the family took the victim along and registered a case at Pilibanga police station. After the allegations were proved, the police arrested both the husband and wife and sent them to jail. During the hearing of the case in the court, the prosecution presented 9 witnesses and presented 17 documents. After the hearing, the court found the accused husband and wife guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment. Besides, a fine of Rs 65-65 thousand was also imposed on both of them.
