Hanumangarh : Hanumangarh’s POCSO court on Saturday gave an important verdict in the case of raping a minor and punished the guilty husband and wife with life imprisonment. A fine of Rs 65-65 thousand has also been imposed on both of them. Ordered to undergo additional imprisonment for non-payment of fine. Advocate Rajendra Pareek appeared on behalf of the complainant. In the case, the Honorable Court sentenced on the basis of 9 witnesses and 17 documents.
According to the case, on March 12, 2020, the family members of the 12-year-old victim filed a case in Pilibanga police station that she was coming from Sriganganagar on February 13, 2020. Then the accused woman lured her daughter and took her to someone’s field. The accused woman had to come and go to his house. The accused woman and her husband kept their daughter hostage. During this time, the woman’s father raped her daughter.
On March 7, 2020, the victim somehow escaped from the clutches of both of them and came home. The girl narrated her entire ordeal after reaching home. After which the family members took the victim along and filed a case at Pilibanga police station. After finding the allegations proven, the police arrested both the husband and wife and sent them to jail. During the hearing of the case in the court, the prosecution presented 9 witnesses and displayed 17 documents. After the hearing, the court found the accused husband and wife guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment. Along with this, a fine of Rs 65-65 thousand was also imposed on both of them.
