Jaipur : Railways has decided to cancel the services of many trains in view of the possibility of fog during the winter season. In particular, trains going from Alwar in Rajasthan to Chandigarh and Jaipur will be affected. Railways has informed that train numbers 19611 and 19614 have been canceled from December 2024 to February 2025. North-Western Railway CPRO Captain Shashi Kiran has confirmed this decision. He said that the speed of trains may be affected due to fog during the winter season, due to which the services of Amritsar Express have been temporarily canceled.
These trains will not run
Train No. 19611 (Ajmer-Amritsar) will be canceled on 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 and 28 December 2024, 2, 4, 9, 16, 18, 23, 25 and 30 January 2025, and 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22 and 27 February 2025.
Similarly, train number 19614 (Amritsar-Ajmer) will remain cancelled on 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and 29 December 2024, 3, 5, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26 and 31 January 2025, and 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23 and 28 February 2025.
Information released ahead of time
The Railway Department has issued timely information to avoid inconvenience to the passengers and suggested alternative arrangements. Passengers are advised to take note of these cancellations while planning their journey and contact the railway website or counter for prior information about their journey.
