Jodhpur : Due to rail doubling work at some stations of Western Railway, Jodhpur-Sabarmati-Jodhpur Express train will be partially canceled between Abu Road to Sabarmati stations for ten days from Saturday. Senior DCM Vikas Kheda said that rail doubling work is being done between Bhandu Motidau-Unjha-Kamli railway stations of Mehsana-Palanpur railway section on Western Railway, due to which traffic block is being taken under which Jodhpur-Sabarmati-Jodhpur Express. Train operations will be affected. In such a situation, train 14821/14822 Jodhpur-Sabarmati-Jodhpur Express train will be partially canceled from Jodhpur from 28th September to 7th October and from Sabarmati from 29th September to 8th October for a total of ten days between Abu Road and Sabarmati stations, i.e. the operation of the train from Jodhpur. Abu Road will be between the stations only.
Jodhpur-Sabarmati and Jodhpur-Dadar ran with electric engine.
At the same time, operation of four more major trains on Jodhpur division of North Western Railway is being started with electric engines instead of diesel. DRM Pankaj Kumar Singh said that after the start of operation of passenger and goods trains with electric engines in Jodhpur-Bhildi section, Jodhpur now has direct connectivity with electric trains till Dadar via Bhildi. He said that the Bhavnagar-Haridwar Express train running on conventional diesel engine was started operating as the first electric train on this route and now the traction of some more trains is being converted.
Under this, Jodhpur-Sabarmati-Superfast and Jodhpur-Dadar Western Express were sent with electric engines from the beginning to the end stations from Friday. In such a situation, now train 20485/20486 Jodhpur-Sabarmati-Jodhpur Superfast will run daily from Jodhpur (departure) and from Sabarmati with electric engine from 28th September. Train 14807/14808 Jodhpur-Dadar-Jodhpur Express will run tri-weekly from Jodhpur (departure) and Dadar from October 14. Train 20483/20484 Bhagat Ki Kothi-Dadar-Bhagat Ki Kothi Superfast Bi-Weekly will run from Bhagat Ki Kothi from 7th October and from Dadar from 4th October. Similarly, train 12489/12490 Bikaner-Dadar-Bikaner Superfast bi-weekly will start running on electric engine from Bikaner from October 1 and from Dadar from September 29.
