In 4 months and 8 days of government job, a 32-year-old engineer filled the room with money, machines started panting while counting the money

Alwar : Alwar’s Water Supply Department’s Superintending Engineer or XEN Divyank Tyagi was arrested red handed by Jaipur ACB team on Monday evening while taking bribe. It is alleged that he had demanded 3 percent commission from contractor Vijay Kumar, for which he had demanded a bribe of Rs 2.50 lakh. After receiving the complaint, ACB caught XEN red handed while taking bribe from the contractor’s car in a joint operation of both the teams. After that, when the team reached his house for search, so many notes were found from there that a note counting machine had to be called. This money was filled in plastic bags like garbage.

Bribe was demanded to pass the contractor’s bill

According to Additional SP Balram Meena of Jaipur ACB team, Vijay Kumar’s bills worth about Rs 1.25 crore were pending and Divyank Tyagi had demanded 3 percent commission to get this bill passed. On receiving the complaint on September 14, ACB confirmed the matter and had also taken Rs 1.5 lakh from the XEN.

Calling the complainant near Ambedkar Nagar bus stand, Divyank Tyagi took a bribe of Rs 1 lakh while sitting in the contractor’s car. After this, ACB raided Tyagi’s house, from where more than Rs 60 lakh in cash was recovered. This money was stuffed in a plastic bag.

Wife is also posted in water supply department

Tyagi was working in Alwar and before the formation of new districts, he was in charge of Bhiwadi. Currently, he is in charge of Umrain and Malakheda area. His wife Vibha is also working as AEN in the Water Supply Department. Investigation of this case is going on and soon the full amount will be disclosed. Investigation till late last night has revealed that Tyagi has two luxury cars whose cost is about fifty lakh rupees. Apart from this, information has also been received about plots and houses worth crores of rupees in posh areas. Along with this, it has been found out that there is gold worth crores of rupees in bank lockers. Bank lockers can be opened today.
