The girl has registered a case at Adarsh Nagar police station in Ajmer. Police have registered a case under various sections including rape, IT Act and started investigation.
The girl told in the report that she had met a young man from Kanpur while playing an online game. The young man took the Instagram ID and his phone number. He was taken into his trap by talking and pressurized him and called him to Kanpur to meet. She went to Kanpur in January 2023. The accused kept her with him for a few days. After this, pressure was created to have a physical relationship. He blackmailed her, raped her and threatened to kill her. Also recorded obscene video.
Called the victim’s mother and asked for money
The victim told the police – When she returned to Ajmer, the accused started blackmailing her by threatening to make the video viral. She had gone back to Kanpur from her college work. Even then the accused blackmailed her and raped her in the hotel. 50 thousand rupees were also snatched from him. In June 2024, she was taken to a hotel in Jaipur and raped. Fed up with the blackmailing of the accused, she stopped picking up the phone. After this the accused hacked his email ID and Instagram account. Demanded money from his mother. When her mother refused, the accused sent her obscene videos to her mother and maternal uncle’s son. Adarsh Nagar police station has registered a case on the complaint of the victim and started investigation.
