In Alwar, miscreants looted an elderly couple by holding them hostage in their house, escaped with lakhs of rupees and jewelery within minutes.

Alwar : Late night in Aryanagar, a posh colony of Alwar city, five miscreants took an elderly couple hostage and carried out the robbery. The miscreants made away with the valuables including cash and jewelery kept in the house. The incident of the miscreants entering and coming into the house has been captured in CCTV, in which the miscreants are wearing masks. Masked men committed robbery in the house of a renowned chartered accountant of the city, Neeraj Garg, by taking an elderly couple hostage and taking away about Rs 15 lakh in cash and gold. Ran away with silver jewelery and other items. The biggest thing was that the masked men held an elderly couple hostage in their house and beat them up.

The miscreants kept both of them hostage for about an hour. Son Neeraj Garg had gone to Uttar Pradesh for a wedding with his wife and children. As soon as he got information about the incident, he left the wedding and left for Alwar. Police said that the correct assessment of the loot would be known only after their arrival.

DSP Anand Sharma said that at 5:00 in the morning, information was received that five masked men had entered Arya Nagar and looted about Rs 15 lakh in cash and other items. Also, they kept the elderly couple hostage for about an hour and took away their belongings. The CCTV footage installed in the house and the surrounding CCTV footage are being scrutinized. All of them had entered from the masked underground and after entering, they woke up Chartered Accountant Neeraj Garg’s father Harish Garg and mother Tara Garg who were sleeping in the house and asked for the keys, took out the keys and held them hostage for about an hour and collected the things in the bag. Took it away after filling it.
