In Banswara, 70-year-old former minister Bhavani Joshi broke a 30-feet high pot as Govinda

Banswara : Janmashtami festival is being celebrated with joy and enthusiasm all over the country. The festival of Janmashtami is very famous in Rajasthan and it is celebrated all over the state. There is an old tradition of breaking the pot on Janmashtami. In such a situation, a pot breaking competition was organized on Krishna Janmashtami in the historic Kushalbag ground of the city in Banswara, Rajasthan. In which 70-year-old former Health Minister Bhavani Joshi also participated. Not only this, he broke the pot by becoming Govinda in the very first attempt. Let us tell you, the former minister is the center of attraction in the program organized every year.

Matki breaking competition is organised everywhere on Janmashtami. In which there is a competition among those who break the pots dressed as Krishna. Generally children or youth participate in the Matki breaking competition, but the scene in the Matki breaking competition in Banswara is different. Here, 70-year-old former health minister Bhavani Joshi plays the role of Kanhaiya in the Matki breaking competition. This scene is so beautiful that thousands of people gather to see this Matki breaking programme. In Banswara too, a Matki breaking competition is organised every year on Krishna Janmashtami in the city’s historic Kushalbag ground.

Despite his increasing age, every year, on the demand of the people, he makes a pyramid in the form of Govinda and breaks a pot more than 30 feet high in one attempt. Many people praise his fitness. The former health minister has not only been organizing this pot breaking competition for the past several years, but he himself remains at the forefront in breaking the pots by becoming Govinda. Former minister Bhavani Joshi is the first to break the pot among the pots placed there and starts the competition. It is noteworthy that every year former minister Joshi breaks the pot in the first attempt, while other Govindas get success after trying several times. The former health minister is currently 70 years old, despite this he is unable to stop his passion for breaking the pot.
