Dungarpur : the story of scam and collusion of officers in Jal Jeevan Mission is now coming to light from every village. In Sunderpur village, the entire village was cheated in a different way under this scheme. Here, tap connections were made in some houses and it was said that water would be available soon. But, the reality is that no water tank has been built in this village. Work on providing tap water to every household in 47 villages in the district was started in the year 2021 and a period of 9 months was fixed to complete these works. But today, even after three years have passed, neither the tap connections have reached the houses nor has water come in these taps. When we looked at the situation in Sundarpur village, located at a distance of 5 kilometers from the city, all the works of Jal Jeevan Mission were incomplete and the company working in this scheme was missing for the last two years.
In this scheme, to provide tap and pure drinking water to every house in the rural areas facing water problem, the entire village road was dug up for the tap line in Sundarpur village. The connections have also been given incompletely. Also, there is no trace of water tank. Rs 110.86 lakh was sanctioned in Sunderpur village. In this, more than Rs 70 lakh has been paid to the contractor. Due to the negligence of the water supply department and the contractor, village sarpanch Urmila Padmat said that she complained to the department several times. But the complaint had no effect. Even at present the village has to depend on tube wells and hand pumps. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme, Rs 110.38 lakh was sanctioned in Sundarpur village in the year 2021. Under which, 1 well, 1 tube well, 150 kilo liter capacity tank and pipeline to 328 houses were to be laid in the village and tap connection was to be provided to every house. The work period for this work was 9 months but today more than 3 years have passed but neither water nor tap has reached anyone’s house. Here the work of the tank has not even started and the contractor left the work incomplete. Is. ^ Executive Engineer Moolchand Roat says that we have given notice to the concerned contractor several times. At the same time, senior officials have been informed about this. When asked that if the work was not completed then how could he pay more than half, he said that only the Superintending Engineer can tell about this.
