Nagaur News Desk: A dispute over a drain took a violent turn on the festival of Diwali in Degana village of Nagaur district. In this conflict, along with throwing of sticks and stones, there was also an incident of throwing of acid between the two parties. 11 people have been injured in this fight, the condition of one of them is said to be critical.

According to local people, the dispute initially started as a simple altercation, but it soon turned into a bloody conflict. The injured admitted to the hospital include Hazari Khan (50), Rukhsana (47), Surmat Bano (35), and others. The seriously injured have been referred to Ajmer for treatment, while the rest are being treated at the sub-district hospital in Degana.
There was panic in the police administration
As soon as information about the incident was received, police and administration officials reached the spot. Administrative officials including SDM Omprakash Machra, DSP Jaiprakash and CI Harish Sankhla took stock of the situation. As a precautionary measure, the police have deployed force in the village to prevent any further violence.
