Jodhpur : Jodhpur’s Dhriti played the first Under-15 match of her career by hitting tremendous fours and sixes in the Pune ground. The match of Rajasthan women’s team was between Goa women’s team in the Women’s U-15 One Day Trophy on 21st November at MCA Cricket Ground, Pune. In this match, Goa team won the toss and decided to bowl first. The opening batsmen of Rajasthan team, who came to bat first, made an explosive partnership of 235 runs. In which Jodhpur’s all-rounder Dhriti Mathur, in her debut match, played a brilliant unbeaten century of 125 runs in 112 balls which included 13 fours.
Dhriti Mathur also took 1 wicket in bowling. The Goa team, which set out to achieve the target, could score only 121 runs in 35 overs. The next match of Rajasthan team will be played against Uttar Pradesh in Goa on 23 November. Dhriti Mathur is the trainee of SM Cricket Academy director and former Ranji player Sumit Mathur and coach Bhavesh Kumar. Jodhpur Cricket Secretary Sukhdev Singh Deval congratulated all the players including Mala Bhatia, Managing Director of SM Cricket Academy, on Dhriti Mathur’s century. Dhriti Mathur is a class 8 student of Delhi Public School, Pal Road. Dhriti’s father Sumit Mathur. Has played Ranji Trophy for Rajasthan team and mother Mala Bhatia is the managing director of SM Cricket Academy. In such a situation, Dhriti started playing cricket from a young age and has been playing cricket for the last 6 years. He started playing cricket considering his father Sumit Mathur as his role model.
