Jaipur : The minor son of a big liquor and property businessman living in a tower in Gopalwadi had planned a robbery of Rs 75 lakhs on Monday evening. The son, who is studying in class 12, also involved his cousin in the conspiracy. The son wanted to live a luxurious life with this money. The police took the cousin into custody within three hours of getting the information about the robbery and about 5 hours later, recovered the bag containing money from his uncle. Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph said that further action will be taken after the liquor businessman gives a report. DCP Digant Anand, who went to his uncle’s house to take the trolley bag, said that when the businessman’s son told about the incident, no suspect was seen coming or going in the CCTV cameras installed near the tower’s lift and stairs. In the footage before the incident, a young man was seen carrying the trolley bag along with other bags.
During investigation it was found that the young man is a relative of the businessman (son’s maternal cousin). As part of the conspiracy, the maternal cousin had called the businessman’s uncle and told him that he was going to visit Srinagar. Therefore he needed a trolley bag. The businessman’s wife and two daughters were also not at home. The accused maternal cousin Prince reached there and took away the trolley bag along with the bag containing money. Then the police suspected the maternal cousin’s involvement in the crime and the businessman’s son was already under suspicion.
A story was made up… 3 miscreants entered and robbed the bag at gunpoint
The control room received information that three miscreants broke into the house of the businessman (name not being given as the son is a minor) at 5.11 pm on Monday. The businessman’s son was alone at home, who was taken at gunpoint and 75 rupees kept in the cupboard were stolen.
They took away one lakh rupees. The son said that the miscreant threw the bag full of money kept in the cupboard from the balcony of the flat situated on the fourth floor and his accomplice standing in a white car picked up the bag and the miscreants fled away.
The businessman had kept the business money at home
Police said that the cousin brother had given the bag containing the money to his brother, a resident of Sri Ganganagar, who is currently in Jaipur. The cousin’s mother was caught from Sidhi Camp area and Rs 75 lakh was recovered from her information. The businessman said that he had brought the money related to the business and kept it at home.
There was also doubt
Vikash Aggarwal and his family, who live on rent in the flat opposite the businessman on the fourth floor of the tower, said that they did not hear any kind of sound. There is a lot of movement of people in the tower, many people live in the basement as there are offices, no one saw the robbers.
