Dungarpur : The results of the by-election for Chaurasi Assembly have also shown the ground hold of many veterans on the voters and workers. Many stalwarts and powerful leaders of Chaurasi assembly district have their lands. This area is establishing its own identity as a stronghold of sometimes BJP, sometimes Congress and regional party BAP. If we look at the votes polled in the home constituencies of key officials of all the three parties in the results of the eighty-four assembly by-elections, shocking results have been seen at many places.
Condition of houses of Congress veterans
In Simalwada, the home constituency of Congress’ Simalwada block president Suresh Bhoi and former chief Nimisha Bhagora, out of 3413 voters, BJP has got 2035 votes, Congress 181 and BAP 1036 votes.
In Noliyawada, the residence of Congress Chikhli Block President Dulesingh Chauhan and former Congress President Manohar Singh Chauhan, out of 666 voters, BJP has got 127 votes, Congress 46 and BAP 418 votes.
Out of 838 votes polled in Ratanpura, the home panchayat of Congress’s former Simalwada president Nimisha Bhagora and former Sarpanch Roopchand Bhagora, BJP got 502 votes, Congress 155 and BAP 128 votes.
In Charwada, the home constituency of former Congress MLA Shankarlal Adhari, out of 886 votes, BJP got 181, Congress 128 and BAP 415.
In the Assembly by-election 2024, 646 voters voted in Kharwarkhuniya 846, the home residence of Bharat Adivasi Party MP Rajkumar Rot. In this, BJP got 16 votes, Congress 10 and BAP 557 votes. At the same time, in the 2023 assembly elections, BJP got 10 votes, Congress 7 and BAP 729 votes at Kharwarkhuniya booth.
In the Assembly by-election 2024, in the village Ghodakhara of former BJP Minister of State Jeevaram Katara and his son former Minister of State Sushil Katara, out of 1648 voters, BJP has got 840 votes, Congress 72 and BAP 599 votes. Whereas, in the 2023 assembly elections, BJP got 689 votes, Congress got 206 votes and BAP got 776 votes.
