Udaipur : Police arrested two accused after revealing the incident of beating a pedestrian by stopping him 5 days ago in Udaipur police station area. The search is on for three others. A video of the incident also went viral. Police officer Dilip Singh Jhala said that the video of a pedestrian being assaulted by unknown miscreants on the service road above the highway underbridge in Banjaria went viral. On which a team was formed and action was taken. After checking the CCTV footage from the cameras installed in that area, the victim was identified from the bike number of the victim and applicant Gautam Lal, father Moga Meghwal, 55 years resident of Meghwal Basti, Randela Tehsil. Took report from Salubar. After which, taking action, according to the appearance seen in the CCTV footage, two accused Ashish (21) father Chunnilal Damor and Ramlal (38) father Laxman Damor Meena Banjaria Upala Phala were arrested. The search for the remaining nominees is ongoing. Whose procession was also taken out in Kherwada. The area residents also appreciated this action of the police.
Team Formation: Police Officer Dilip Singh Jhala formed a police station level special team to trace the victim and unknown miscreants in the viral video of the assault. After getting information from CCTV footage, scanned the CCTV footage around the incident spot. On the basis of which unknown miscreants were traced and two accused were arrested. The accused also revealed the names of other accused during interrogation. The police team included Police Officer Dilip Singh Jhala, Head Constables Rakesh Meena and Rakesh Mehta, Constables Anuj, Harshit, Ravindra, Maninder, Bhanwar Singh, Bharat, Lady Constable Khushboo etc.
This incident happened
The victim told that to go from Randela to Ahmedabad, he and his uncle along with brother Shankarlal had reached the service road of Banjaria Pulia at 9.15 pm on a bike via Tokar Kalyanpur Road. Then 4 to 5 boys came in front of the bike, stopped the bike and started asking for money to drink alcohol. When he refused, he was beaten. Due to which both of them suffered injuries.
