New Delhi, November 13 (IANS). India has conducted the exercise program ‘Space Exercise-2024’ related to space conflict. This exercise was successfully completed on Wednesday. This is an important milestone aimed at enhancing the strategic readiness of the Indian Armed Forces in the domain of space warfare.
According to the Defense Ministry, this program is an important step towards expanding India’s space-based functional capabilities. Apart from this, it is also important in enhancing joint operations of the three services for space security.
The exercise marks an important point in India’s efforts to secure Indian interests in space. This exercise also highlights the country’s progress and strategic importance in this important area. Defense Space Agency of Integrated Defense Personnel Headquarters conducted Space Exercise-2024 from 11 to 13 November. Key components of the exercise included discussions focused on emerging space technologies, space contextual awareness and India’s space activities. The event highlighted monitoring and protection of critical assets and enhancing situational awareness in the increasingly competitive space environment.
According to the Defense Ministry, the participants took part in scenario-based activities during the three-day program of Space Exercise-2024. Apart from the military, scientific and academic community, subject experts from various ministries and departments of the Government of India also participated in it. These experts provided valuable information on the current and future landscape of military-based space capabilities and technologies. During this, the specific challenges faced by defense space programs and the evolving nature of space safety, security and international space laws were highlighted.
The interaction through space exercises aims to improve capabilities, promote mutual understanding and enhance coordination between the three services and the Defense Space Agency. Key outcomes of the exercise include refined strategies for preparedness for military action, a strong framework for future cooperation. It also includes a clear roadmap aimed at advancing India’s space doctrine and capabilities in line with national security.
