Indian Air Force’s biggest war exercise Tarang-Shakti starts today at Jodhpur Air Base

Jodhpur : The biggest exercise of the Indian Air Force ‘Tarang-Shakti’ is going to start in Jodhpur from today. Air force personnel from 7 countries will be present in this exercise. Air chiefs of 12 countries will also participate. They will fly in each other’s country’s fighter aircraft. In this exercise, fighter jets of German and Spanish Air Force along with Tejas and Sukhoi will show their strength. On Thursday, fighter jets and their officers from different countries reached Jodhpur Airbase. This exercise will run from 30 August to 14 September. For the first time in this exercise, the Air Force of Greece reached Jodhpur Airbase with its fighter jets.

This is the second phase of Tarang Shakti 2024. Earlier, its first phase was completed in Sular, Tamil Nadu from 6 to 14 August. Air force personnel from 30 countries participated in it. In the second phase of this exercise being held in Jodhpur, teams from India, Japan, America, Greece, UAE and Hungary Air Force are participating. In this, Tejas, Sukhoi along with Luftwaffe German Air Force, Eurofighter Typhoon of Spanish Air Force will fly in the exercise. By hosting Tarang Shakti, India will give the message of participation in the security global defense eco system with military strength and power. Integration will be promoted along with interoperability.

This exercise will give a strong warning to the enemy country. For the first time, the world’s most powerful US Air Force Chief General David W. Alvin will fly Tejas in the skies of Jodhpur. Apart from this, Australian Air Force Chief Air Marshal Stephen Chappell, Japanese Air Self Defense Force Chief General Hiroaki Uchukura, UAE Defense Force Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Issa Al Mazroui and Indian Air Force Chief Air Marshal VR Chaudhary will fly each other’s country’s fighter aircraft.
