New Delhi, November 16 (IANS). Miscreants opened indiscriminate fire at a petrol pump located on Wazirabad Road in Gokulpuri police station area of Delhi. More than two dozen bullets were fired in the petrol pump office, due to which the petrol pump supervisor working there was injured.
According to the police, the incident took place around 10:38 pm, when four miscreants riding on two bikes opened fire from outside the office cabin of the petrol pump and then fled from the spot. Anshul Rathi, who was injured in the firing, was admitted to GTB Hospital, where doctors said that he was injured by glass fragments, although his condition is out of danger. It is being told that Anshul Rathi was working as a supervisor at the petrol pump for six years.
It is being told that the police is scanning the CCTV footage to identify the miscreants who opened fire. Petrol pump owner Harish Chaudhary told the police that this incident might have happened due to old enmity. Harish Chaudhary is a resident of Gokulpuri area and some legal cases are pending against him. However, after talking to the family and experts of pump supervisor Anshul Rathi, it was learned that he had no personal dispute with anyone.
One person said, “The target of the miscreants was Harish Chaudhary. He fired 20-22 rounds of bullets. Bullet marks are visible both inside and outside the office. The fear of Delhi Police has gone out of the miscreants. Delhi has now become a crime city. Our petrol pump employee has been injured. He is admitted in the hospital.”
According to the eyewitness, “20-22 rounds of bullets were fired at Mukul Diesel Pump in Gokulpuri. The incident took place late at night between 10-11 pm.”
The police is investigating the case seriously and is trying to identify the accused soon.
