Indradev is kind to Rajasthan, heavy rains, two gates of Kalisindh dam were opened

Jaipur : rain continued in many districts of Rajasthan on Friday as well. Clouds remained camped in the sky throughout the day in Jaipur. Rain occurred at Mansarovar, Jhalana, JLN Marg, Tonk Road, Sikar Road and other places. This made the weather pleasant. There was no waterlogging. According to Jaipur Meteorological Center, a low pressure area has formed over Jharkhand. There is a strong possibility of it becoming more intense in the next 48 hours and moving towards Rajasthan through Madhya Pradesh. Due to the effect of low pressure, there is a strong possibility of increase in heavy rain activities in some parts of south-eastern Rajasthan from August 3. The maximum effect of the system is likely to be in the south-eastern and western parts of the state on August 4-5. There is a strong possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at some places and extremely heavy rain (more than 200 mm) at one or two places in Kota, Udaipur division on August 4. During this period, there is a strong possibility of heavy and very heavy rainfall in some parts of Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions during August 4 to 6.

Alert for here on Saturday

On Saturday, an orange alert for very heavy rain has been issued in Jaipur, Banswara, Baran, Jhalawar, Kota, Pratapgarh. Meanwhile, heavy rain is likely in Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur and Sawai Madhopur. On Sunday, an orange alert for very heavy rain has been issued in Ajmer, Banswara, Baran, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Kota, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sirohi, Tonk, Udaipur and Pali. Apart from this, a yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in Jaipur, Dausa, Sawaimadhopur, Jalore, Jodhpur, Nagaur.

Heavy rains, rivers and streams overflowed, two gates of Kalisindh dam opened

The rainy season is in Hadoti region. 3903 cusecs of water is being drained by opening two gates of Kalisingh Dam of Jhalawar district by one meter each. Kota-Sheopur road was closed due to the rise in Parvati river again in the evening. Khatauli-Sawaimadhopur road was already closed due to the rise in Chambal river. Rain has been continuing in Baran district for the last two days. The road was blocked for four hours due to the rise in the Teliya Khal culvert situated on Bhanwargarh Boren road. In Bundi district, it rained intermittently throughout the day. Here, light to heavy rain occurred in Jodhpur, Bikaner, Nagaur, Pali, Jalore, Sirohi and entire Marwar. According to the Meteorological Department, 59 mm of rain was recorded in Ajmer, 76 mm in Bhilwara, 19 mm in Sikar, 29 mm in Kota, 30 mm in Chittorgarh, 14.8 mm in Phalodi, 70.8 mm in Sriganganagar, 49 mm in Baran, 48 mm in Mount Abu, 96 mm in Sangaria, 28 mm in Raipur of Jhalawar, 46 mm in Sunel, 49 mm in Pachpahar, 29 mm in Bikaner, 92 mm in Nagaur, 97 mm in Khinvsar, 105 mm in Riyambadi and 91 mm in Merta.
