Jaipur : Tata Group Chairman and senior industrialist Ratan Tata passed away on Wednesday night. At the age of 86, Ratan Tata breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was suffering from ill health for several days. Just two days ago, he had posted on social media not to pay attention to any kind of rumors on his health. Many big leaders including Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over the demise of Ratan Tata.
Gave invaluable contribution in nation building- CM Bhajanlal
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma posted on social media and wrote, ‘The demise of India’s renowned industrialist and social worker Ratan Tata ji is extremely sad. Tata ji’s contribution was not limited to the business sector only. He also made invaluable contribution in social service and nation building. Under his leadership, the Tata Group not only brought glory to India at the global level, but also played an important role in the economic and social development of the country. May Lord Shri Ram grant the departed soul a place at his feet and the bereaved family the strength to bear this thunderbolt.
Gave us all many opportunities to be proud – Gehlot
At the same time, former CM Ashok Gehlot posted on the death of Ratan Tata and wrote that ‘The death of industrialist Ratan Tata is an irreparable loss for the country. Shri Ratan Tata gave many opportunities to all of us to be proud by always giving priority to India in his business. He was also famous for his philanthropic work. I pay my tribute to such an inspiring personality.
Tata left an indelible mark – Pilot
Congress leader Sachin Pilot also wrote on Tata’s demise, ‘Deeply saddened to know about the demise of industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata. Under his visionary leadership the Tata Group became a leading business entity and his commitment to numerous humanitarian causes has left an indelible mark. His legacy will continue to inspire generations and I extend my condolences to his family and fans. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

After the death of Ratan Tata, discussions have started regarding his successor. It is believed that Leah, Maya and Neville can be the heirs of the empire worth Rs 3800 crore. Ratan Tata’s father Naval Tata had a second marriage with Simone. His son Noel Tata is the half-brother of Ratan Tata. Noel Tata has three children, Maya, Novil and Leah. There is a possibility that one of them could be Ratan Tata’s successor.
