Pratapgarh : Under Pratapgarh Self-reliant India campaign, a workshop was organized under Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Industry Upgradation Scheme (PMFME) at Kisan Bhawan of Agricultural Produce Market of Pratapgarh. Along with the traders of the agricultural produce market, other traders of the area were also present in large numbers in the workshop. PMFME’s Enterprises Area Manager Rinku Goyal said that the objective of this workshop is to provide maximum benefits to small entrepreneurs. The main objective of this scheme of the Central Government is to provide self-employment opportunities to new and existing entrepreneurs in the field of food processing.
He said that under the scheme, entrepreneurs will be provided free assistance, training and technical support for application. Also, a maximum grant of Rs 10 lakh or 35% of the project cost will be provided to the entrepreneurs by the Central Government. During the workshop, the Lead Bank Manager and the President of the Trade Board also expressed their views. Traders discussed various departmental problems related to the food processing industry and gave suggestions for solutions to the officials. In this event, traders and entrepreneurs expressed their desire to strengthen their enterprises by taking advantage of the information about the scheme. A large number of businessmen and officials were present in the workshop.
