Injured Stafanie Taylor out of India tour, Dottin ready to return to ODI

St. John’s (Antiga), November 28 (IANS). West Indies will be without all-rounder Stafanie Taylor on the upcoming white-ball tour of India. According to a Cricket West Indies release, the 33-year-old Taylor is currently recovering from an injury and will not be available for the upcoming three ODI and T20 series in India.

Deandra Dottin, who had announced her retirement from international cricket two years ago, made a comeback in the T20 World Cup this year and will now make a comeback in ODIs on the tour of India. He played his last ODI in March 2022 but his recent form in the white ball has been excellent.

Dottin was the most effective player during the 2024 T20 World Cup and earlier this month she scored an unbeaten 46 off 18 balls for Melbourne Renegades against Adelaide Strikers in the WBBL.

Shabika Ghazanbi and Rashada Williams, who were left out of the World Cup squad, have returned to both the ODI and T20 squads.
