Sriganganagar : District Election Officer and District Collector Awadhesh Meena have issued instructions to the Electoral Registration Officer and SDM regarding the establishment of polling stations for the elections of urban bodies.
In the instructions given by the District Election Officer, orders have been given to do this as per the provisions mentioned in Rule 27 of the Municipal Election Rules 1994. The guidelines given for polling stations in the last Municipal General Elections 2019 will, with possible changes, also be applicable for the establishment of polling stations to be established for the upcoming elections of urban bodies.
At the same time, the State Election Commission has also issued detailed instructions regarding the establishment of polling centers for the elections of Panchayat Raj institutions.
