Jaipur : iPhones worth about Rs 1.5 crore were stolen from a mobile showroom in Jawahar Nagar police station area of Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur in the early hours of Wednesday. Three thieves together committed this incident at 3:30 in the morning. First of all, he broke the lock of the mobile shop near Sethi Bar B Q restaurant by using its bars. After this he raised half the shutter and two people entered inside the shop. The thieves had a bag on their shoulders, from which they took out a big bag and then started filling it with iPhones, Macbooks and iPads of Apple company. During this time the third thief kept waiting outside on the bike. After the theft, all three escaped very easily.
200 products of Apple company stolen
The entire incident of theft that took place at a mobile shop named Hotspot near Panchavati Circle was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the mobile showroom, on the basis of which the police has now started investigation. Shop owner Ravindra Singh has told that the thieves have stolen only the products of Apple company. He has not even touched the phone of any other brand. About 200 pieces have been stolen. A night food delivery boy had returned to Sethi Bar-B-Que at 4.30 in the morning, who when he saw the shutter of the shop lifted, called us and informed us. When I reached the shop, Apple company products worth about Rs 1.5 to Rs 2 crore were missing.
Absconded after stealing in 20 minutes
Singh said that the entire theft incident is recorded in CCTV cameras. But, the thieves have covered their faces. Within a few minutes the thieves committed this crime and then easily went away from there. We have informed about this theft to Jawahar Nagar police station. Since receiving the complaint, a police team has started tracking down the thieves. The CCTV footage installed nearby is being scrutinized. Also, the number of the bike on which the thieves had come is being searched so that the thieves can be traced. Looking at the CCTV it seems that the thieves had raided this shop earlier. However, the police has claimed to catch the accused soon. That’s why in just 20 minutes they stole and ran away.
