It is the responsibility of every section of the society to protect the daughters and sisters: Dr. Yadav

Bhopal 25 November (IANS). Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the responsibility of protecting the honor of the daughter and sister is not only of the government or the police, but of every section of the society.

Referring to the Hum Honge Kamyab campaign being run with the aim of stopping gender-based violence in the state, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said, for the safety of daughters and sisters in the state, we are celebrating Hoge Kamyab Pakhwada, which will continue till December 10. By changing their thinking, men can challenge the negative attitudes prevalent in the society, which is a major reason for violence against women.

He further said, it is the responsibility of all of us men to keep the mothers and sisters safe and take care of them in our family and society. Boys have to be taught from birth to respect every daughter and sister. Take care that there is no exploitation or physical violence against the daughter. Consider them your equal. Parents should make their daughters aware that they should oppose physical violence against them. Create an environment of equality in the society. Discrimination between son-daughter and man-woman should end. Where every sister and woman will be safe and empowered, only then will she be able to fulfill her potential and if help is needed, she can take help from Child Line and Women’s Helpline.

A two-day workshop is also being organized along with the Hum Honge Kamyab campaign. The workshop will discuss addressing gender-based violence through government coordination and stakeholder accountability, community policing, collaborative approaches to women’s safety, understanding gender-based violence and developing action plans for local implementation. Apart from this, topics like strengthening support system for victims, role and psychological impact of one stop center, promoting women safety, insights from MP Dial 100 through quick response mechanism, understanding of women safety laws and policies were discussed through subject expert discussions. do.
