Mumbai, November 29 (IANS). Shiv Sena leaders Uday Samant and Bharat Gogavale, speaking to IANS on Friday, condemned Congress leader Bhai Jagtap’s statement in which he called the Election Commission “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dog”.
Shiv Sena leader and former Maharashtra cabinet minister Uday Samant said, “It is not a good thing to make such statements. In Nanded, when Congress wins the seat, the EVM there is good, but when we win, there is a glitch in the EVM. It is very wrong to say this. It is very wrong to talk about the Election Commission in a wrong way.
Uday Samant demanded action regarding this controversial statement of the Congress leader, saying that right now the opposition party is “in depression”, that is why it has started behaving like this.
Bharat Gogavale said that be it Bhai Jagtap, Nana Patole or Sanjay Raut, those people have been kept in the party only to speak. The more they speak, the better our work will be.
Regarding the name of the Chief Minister and the cabinet in Maharashtra, he said, “Everyone met Eknath Shinde on Thursday. There is no resentment in the Mahayuti yet.” On the question of division of the ministry, he said, “We have demanded, we will see what happens next?”
Let us tell you that Congress leader Bhai Jagtap made controversial remarks on the Election Commission on Friday and compared the Commission to a “dog”. He said, “Congress has demanded that elections should be held through ballot paper. Our democracy is the largest democracy in the world. If anyone raises questions on that democracy, the Election Commission and the government should answer it. The Election Commission is a dog. By becoming a dog Sits outside Narendra Modi ji’s bungalow.”
